World class skiing is just minutes away from your dream ski property
If you love to ski, there is no better place on earth than Jackson Hole. With the top rated ski resort in America only 2 miles down the road it is hard to find a reason to own a ski property anywhere else. Of course if you are a powder hound and would like a little slower pace or a greater adrenaline rush there are plenty of other options in the Jackson Hole area.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Rated the top ski resort in America by Powder Magazine in 2013, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers terrain for all levels of skiers. While the grandkids take full day lessons the adults can ski easy cruisers all day long or go extreme with a 20 foot drop into the famous Corbet’s Couloir.
Grand Targhee Resort is a short 40 minute drive away over beautiful Teton Pass. Located just outside of Driggs Idaho, Targhee offers great terrain for all levels of skiers. Shuttles are available if you don’t want to drive
Snow King Resort
Snow King is located in the center of the Town of Jackson a short 10 minute drive from the house. Snow King is a much smaller mountain than JHMR and offers primarily groomed ski runs. Regular ski races are held at Snow King so if you are looking to see some impressive fast slalom skiing Snow King is sure to impress.
Cross Country and Skate Skiing
Did we mention that there is a cross country ski track located right inside of Tucker Ranch? No need to travel to one of the many surrounding courses when you can strap on your skinny skis and stay right close to home.
Back Country Skiing
Jackson Hole offers some of the best terrain in the world and not all of it is in-bounds. Jackson has a very large back country ski culture so it is easy to find a buddy to earn your turns with. Whether you prefer to boot pack up Glory Bowl or skin the 14 miles to 25 Short, you are sure to find untouched chest deep powder stashes.
So go get the airtime, and ski at virtually any level in Jackson, but do not forget you can be your own guide too. You can strap on your snow shoes, or your skinny skis, and stay right at home at Tucker Ranch. You can even crank up the snow mobile and take a run around the property, or up on the Snake River dike, and if the town keeps building bike paths, you might make it all the way to town too. AND there is always Togowtee Pass. If it is made for snow it is found in Jackson Hole because our average snow fall up on the mountains is 634 inches a year.
