This Jackson Hole Log Home was constructed by Dembergh Log Homes of Sun Valley in 1998 of 14-16 inch dead standing lodge pole pine logs. The concept was designed to provide open space, light,comfort and character, and be easy to maintain; thus there are two Master Suites and 2.5 baths, the Great Room, and an Office– and of course the View.
The main house features 32 foot ceilings and over 3920 sq feet of living area, complete with a wrap around 1624 sq ft cedar deck in Jackson Hole. A hand carved, solid hickory front door with artful depictions of the local wildlife welcomes you to La Segunda Vida, along with a 50 ton river rock fireplace which anchors the construction, and frames the Grand providing the center piece for the Great Room, separating the kitchen from the living areas.
The kitchen boasts granite counter tops, an island, and a commercial grade pizza oven as well as a Subzero refrigerator, and a Jenn-Air gas range and griddle, and shares space with the dining room to become a major gathering place for the family. A sunroom adjoins the great room behind a built-in library ready to showcase your books and treasures. Designed with temperature control and a watering system, the sunroom will delight any homeowner with a green thumb as previously has served as atrium, as well as an aviary, exercise room, reading room, and breakfast nook as may have the best views in the house of the Tetons.
The master suite on the first floor, and bath share the main level off the hall with an office, laundry and powder room. The master bath offers a jacuzzi jetted tub, double vanities, a steam room and an enclosed 2-headed shower. Upstairs, the loft served to display our art collection and a “spare” 3rd bedroom together with the other Master and bath, but can be also used as just a comfortable sitting area, library or office.
